El Cúmulo Cron era un grupo de diez estrellas ubicado en el sector Auril. Se suponía que el cúmulo estelar había sido construido por los miembros de la especie Celestial, que había desaparecido de la galaxia en el 30.000 ABY.[4] La hechicera Sith Aleema Keto hizo que las estrellas se convirtieran en supernovas, creando el Río Cron.
