En Tales of the Jedi, Arca Jeth dice que el sistema se llama sistema Onderon por su único planeta habitado. Sin embargo, Tales of the Jedi Companion, The Essential Guide to Planets and Moons y The Essential Atlas lo llaman sistema Japrael. Es llamado de nuevo sistema Onderon en Star Wars: Caballeros de la Antigua República II: Los Señores Sith y The New Essential Chronology.
