Yellow Lightsabers

With the new information on Kyber Crystals, we discovered that the only colors Jedi will end up with for their lightsabers are blue, green, or in rare cases purple.

Yellow Lightsabers, like the ones used by a starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Temple_Guard, are assumingely specialized or synthesized specifically for the Temple Guards. These Lightsabers are designed to be a starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber_pike (double bladed lightsabers).

However, in starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Disciple, we find that starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Asajj_Ventress acquired a yellow Lightsaber off of the black market... starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ventress's_lightsaber. This lightsaber seemed to be a normal lightsaber that a normal Jedi would use, not anything similar to a Temple guard lightsaber.

I highly doubt that a Temple Guard lightsaber or anything related to it would end up on the black market. This lightsaber must have belonged to an active Jedi, probably similar to a starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Jedi_Sentinel.

So, if this lightsaber is not related to the temple guard lightsaber, does that mean it was built using a yellow Kyber crystal? Or a different type of crystal?

Pablo just confirmed something today that the guards do have personal lightsaber but they are not permitted to use them while on guard duty.

So why the downgrade? I still think that Temple Guard duty isn't just a chore. I think it's also to teach the Jedi assigned a lesson of some sorts. And I believe it has something to do with faith and spirituality (mostly due to the proximity of the spiritual centre of the Jedi Order).

Yeah, Cylo's creations have a wide variety of lightsaber colors. starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Comander starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Karbin has two blue, two purple?

I just thought of something... what happens to a lightsaber after its wielder dies? What happens to the kyber bond?

Obviously, if it is meant to be wielded again by another Jedi, it will repeat the process of calling out and bonding. Nothing changes as it waits for its next user. Example: starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Skywalker's_lightsaber. (Obi-Wan probably assumed the weapon was waiting for Luke, but little did he know it was waiting for Rey!)

But... what if a lightsaber isn't meant to form another bond? As in it's a one-and-done experience. What happens to those kybers that have nobody else to bond to? Is it possible they "go null" and turn yellow?

Are yellow sabers the result of expired crystals?

The latter. A Temple Guard is more of a temporary duty as part of a Knight's service.

Not if the temple guard sabers aren't personal saber. Got guard duty, you use this. And you wear this mask.

Places like the temple on Lothal carry kyber crystals, and with the Jedi's blind followings they just forgot there were other ways to recieve crystals than the ritual at Illum.

Also I looked into the artwork for the deleted scenes and such, the lightsaber Ventress is carrying is definitely not a Jedi Temple Guard's lightsaber cut in half. It's just a lightsaber.

Why do we think there was a red lightsaber in the Jedi Temple dojo Yoda summoned? Was it a symbol or was there literally a red lightsaber sitting around in a former Jedi dojo?

It might be synthetic. Even if i don't think that, i do believe that acquiring a starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Lightsaber might be very difficult.

And in yellow color it should be unimaginable. Who knows propably a Jedi that left the Order and sold his Lightsabers.

Ahsoka for examble didn't keep her Jedi Lightsabers after she left the Order.
