In a recent discussion thread, a few people proposed bringing back an old community project that met its end a few months ago: The Brick Wars.
For those of you who weren’t around back then, The Brick Wars was a weekly thread that I ran where users could post pictures of their LEGO Star Wars creations, which would be admired by the community at large. The following day would see a poll where people could vote on which build they thought was the best, and the day after that the winner would be announced.
As I mentioned above, some users have been wanting me to bring it back—and I’m willing to do so if that’s what you guys want. I will be hosting the event alongside @WarlordGrandAdmiralThrawn , and the plan is for me to do every other post, with Thrawn doing those in between. This is to ease up in the workload for me, which was why I stopped posting the contest.
However, unlike last time, The Brick Wars will be held once every two weeks, instead of being a weekly thing.
We’re still working out the details, and would like your guys’ opinion on it. What day would work best for you? I’m rather flexible (and I believe Thrawn is, as well,) so it’s up to you guys to decide. As a whole, one instalment of The Brick Wars occupies three days (posting, polling and results) so keep that in mind as you decide.
Are there any other changes that you think should be made from last time? Improvements, add-ons, etc? For example, if competition is dissuading you from participating, then feel free to voice your opinion.
Just a side note: for those of you who are worried about the hopelessly unorganized state of the previous archive thread, have no fear. We plan on making a new one as soon as the first post is up.
