If the seismic charge could drift into somewhere like a hangar or a heat sink or something, then yes, that could be dangerous.

Outright destroying a Star Destroyer? No. Crippling one? Sure; if the attacker could utilize Thrawn's slingshot maneuver (as seen in Treason) and land the Seismic Charge in its hangar bay, that'd take a Destroyer out of the fight for sure.
