:WARNING SPOILERS FOR REPUBLIC COMMANDO SERIES BY KARIN TRAVIS:
The book series felt like a soap opera Dar falls in love with Etain they miss each other. Then Kal wants all his lads to have a wife and get married then. Ordo likes Besany and keeps talking about her but cant do anything because....? Atin falls in love with a twi'lek and some what talks about her. I felt like there was more soap opera then action in the book. I really liked the series until true colors true colors felt like she was loosing part of the story in a way I really felt like she was making Kal Ordo and Mereel do everything perfect the first time. Now, finishing the series and judging it it was not as good as I first thought and... it was a disappointment. I would like to talk about my first problem with the books Kal the sergeant of Omega squad he did not feel like a sergeant we never get to see him be a sergeant to his squad unlike Vau it felt like we only get to see him be soft on his troopers and never really teach them a sergeant to trooper lesson its always "I am so proud of you son" and so on. I never felt like we see him have any problems with any thing and no one has a problem with him but Zey even though we don't get to see Zey much which I would have liked to see him more in the books. I felt like all the characters were just the same instead if one was Mando or if one was a Jedi or Clone they all seemed to be the same in what they think all of them thought that "Jedi are evil and must die" None of them thought that "Well Jedi are good" If y'know what I mean. And non of them talk about how Mandalorians had killed thousands of people for there so called "Honor" and somehow the Jedi are worse? Everyone kept falling in love with clone troopers almost every female we meet falls in love with some clone trooper it got boring in my opinion Mrs Travise just kept using the same old girl falls in love with clone oh look another female? why don't we make her fall in love with a clone? It got old in my opinion. Another problem I had was how much we got to see Niner I felt like we only ever see him when someone presses the "Go get Niner button to help me feel better" that's the only times we get to really see him but we don't see him really when they need to make a choice on a mission now remember he is the squad leader so he should be more active. If she killed him off I don't think any one would really notice or really care. Another problem I had was when Etain started loosing the baby in true colors it would make sense that Levet and the other clones would think okay she got hit by a blaster but what does not make sense to me is how Etain really handled what was happing I mean she was with a bunch of grown men who don't even know what is happening and there is no females around to help her. In all honesty she is a Jedi I know but I full heartedly think she would have started to cry because its hard of course and most of you would know. There was some cramping but she seemed to not have a problem with it for some reason? I know she's a Jedi but being a Jedi does not really help with what she's going through of course the Clones don't know what's happing so she could most likely feel them getting tense. The whole Ko Sai thing for me felt to easy for me I felt like there was not enough struggle to find her it was just okay get a ship fly to this place and boom we found her. Another one I have is we don't see alot of characters who are okay with the Jedi we don't see alot of characters like that and that has to be one of my biggest problems with the books. There were some things I liked about the books Fi was funny and I laughed at what he said many times and by the way how old is the cake Besany gave to Mereel? Would like to know your thoughts one the series as well. Thank you for reading.
