@StillFlyingHalfAShip To have Dooku beg for mercy and for Palpatine to save his life as that wasn’t what their original plan was (as their plan was for Dooku to murder Obi-Wan and then throw the rest of the fight with Anakin so he’s be put under house arrest for the rest of the war while Palpatine would still manipulate Anakin, but this was obviously a bunch of rubbish that Sidious made up to find a convenient way to have Dooku permanently dealt with). But Christopher Lee didn’t like this and said it was out of character for someone or Dooku’s status and personality, so it was changed to Dooku just quietly accepting his death instead of begging for his life. Though I’m pretty sure in Revenge of the Sith’s Novel, that Dooku still begged for mercy and tried to reveal Palpatine’s identity to Anakin, but Ani did the deed before Dooku could reveal that part.
