So I've been seeing around some sites and offering my suggestions with regards to the EU. More specifically the old Clone Wars EU. With that in mind, I figured I'd at least bring to attention what many could try and get, so they too can get into this particular timeframe that shows a huge different version of the Clone Wars. Honestly folks, it's not as intimidating to get into as one might think. So with that in mind....let's start.
Star Wars: Clone Wars Omnibus Vols 1-3 or Trade Paperbacks Vols 1-9
First things first, get the Clone Wars Omnibus Vols 1-3. Or get the Clone Wars Trade Paperbacks Vols 1-9.
I wouldn't recommend the Epic Legends Collection, because these include comic stories that have zero to do with the Clone Wars from the Multi-Media Project and I can see where confusion can get involved. With both the Trades and Omnibus, you're not getting all that unnecessary bloat.
But this Comic series is one of the best I've ever read and if you don't go for anything else on this list, you're still pretty good with what this series gives you as far as the Clone Wars Timeline goes, with great action, characters and story arcs.
2. Republic Commando Novel series
The Republic Commando Novel series includes Hard Contact, Triple Zero, True Colors, Order 66 and 501st.
These novels basically follow Republic Commandos and you'll also see some ARCs here and there. You'll see the likes of Delta/Omega Squads, with a host of interesting characters involved.
3. Star Wars: The Clone Wars(2002, Video Game)
There are many games surrounding the Clone Wars, but I feel this one is one of the more important and also it's just a fun game all around. You basically control Clone Wars tanks/walkers/gunships, as well as some here and there foot missions where you're playing a Jedi such as Anakin, Obi-Wan or Mace Windu.
The story follows Anakin and Obi-Wan(along with others such as Windu) as they try to stop Count Dooku from bringing back the Dark Reaper, a Sith Superweapon. This is also a pretty important story for Anakin as a character and what he goes through as the Dark Side tempts him.
4. Clone Wars Micro-Series
Now I'm sure the majority, if not pretty much everyone has seen this series or at least clips from Youtube. But I'm just throwing it in here just to cover it, but this show puts emphasis on the overall scale and big battles of the Clone Wars, just how huge it really is.
But even with that, the show actually does a pretty good job at developing Anakin as a character. It's subtle, but it gets the point across, it's not just blatantly telling you. It also leads directly into ROTS as well.
======
Anyway that's basically my suggestions for those wishing to want to see what the Clone Wars Multi-Media Project is all about.
I know I missed a couple of games or novels, but I feel these are some of the more important ones that people wanting to get into the CWMMP should get.
Or again folks, at the very least, I highly recommend you get the Clone Wars Omnibus Vols 1-3 or the Trade Paperback Comics Vols 1-9. If you don't get anything else, this is what I highly recommend because that will give you a very good look at what the Clone Wars was before TCW 08.
The CWMMP is really overlooked, but I feel it's a pretty flawless execution of the Clone Wars Timeline despite being within 4 different mediums, they all flow together into a nice buttoned up timeline, which leads directly into Revenge of the Sith.
Anyway folks, enjoy and let me know if you plan on picking anything up!
James Earl Jones, the man who gave Darth Vader his voice, has sadly died aged 93. He is one with the Force now and shall never be forgotten. RIP Legend.

Overall, is Luke closer to Anakin or Padmé? And same thing for Leia, is she more similar to Anakin or Padmé? What are your thoughts on this???

Ik, this probably is a hot take but whatever…TCW Anakin is the best portrayal of Anakin Skywalker and in my opinion, that is the real Anakin. Now that I am older, I realize that Anakin in the prequels portrayal is not very good. He isn’t the guy everyone loves and adores and looking at the prequels alone, I don’t see how his friends love him so much and think he’s such a GOOD person at all. In the TPM, he was a kind and sweet little boy but he was just a little boy. In AOTC, Anakin was awful. He was a creepy, hormonal teenager who whined so much, and his whining was like a 5-year-olds. And he wasn’t kind either. He was extremely selfish. He is extremely dislikable in AOTC. In ROTS, Anakin was only good in the beginning of the movie but once he had that nightmare of Padmé dying in childbirth, he became selfish again and power hungry. Anakin’s portrayal in the prequels was very weak and I don’t see Anakin Skywalker, the hero, who was a kind friend…no I don’t see any of that. In the prequels alone, Anakin was, might I dare say…kinda a sociopath…he wasn’t a very good person at all. But in TCW, the portrayal is HUGE step up. He was kind, caring and helpful but he also had his weaknesses that he also has in the prequels like always disobeying the Jedi council’s orders and tend to get violent with his enemies and he also had a TERRIBLE temper. Sure, he wasn’t perfect in TCW, he was a war criminal, and he has done some terrible things in that show but he lives up to the “great friend” thing and I do see how friends thought he was a good person and Padmé and Luke still believing he had that “good” in him makes much much more SENSE…
So yeah, in my eyes TCW Anakin is definitely the best portrayal of him and saves his character and explored his character very very well, he had his dark side moments but he was also a very kind and caring friend.
I feel as if many may not have known about these two documentaries regarding Star Wars. In all honesty I feel they are very important to really knowing what Star Wars is and what effect it had on the world as a whole.
These videos are long, but I feel well worth the watch if there's any interest.
So, I am not familiar with all Legends content so I gotta ask, what did Anakin Skywalker exactly do in the Battle of Jabiim that made him so hated? Thanks so much for any answers!!!
:)
The Qui-Gon Jinn Legends page is one of my favorites because it goes out of its way to cite seemingly every narrative source that has a unique narrative moment. That, along with its extreme detail, makes it the third longest page on this website behind only the canon and legends Anakin pages.
That got me thinking: If Anakin Skywalker’s or even Luke or Obi-Wan’s pages were equally as thorough, comprehensive and detailed, do you think they’d reach the (former?) 2MB limit? For reference the Anakin pages are both about 1MB large. How large do you think those pages could get if the Qui-Gon page was the standard expected for all pages?

Honestly, I don't really like Anakin and i think he's overrated. I think he is a well-written character but I don't like how he got "redeemed" and i don't think he deserved redemption at all. He's not a hero and i never saw him as one, he's a villain and even as his portrayal as "Anakin", he was never a good person. The Clone Wars might have made him a bit nicer but I still think that is not enough to justify his crimes. He slaughtered a tribe of Tusken Raiders and decided to move on with his life...like what? Own up to your crime!!! If he was actually a good person, he would have confessed to the Jedi but nope...he somehow thought it wasn't that bad and he was cool with moving on with his life knowing how he slaughtered a tribe. He was also incredibly selfish too! Massacring people just to save one person. Be serious. He also didn't seem to care for anyone outside of Padmé, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, his mother, Shmi and a few others. I think Anakin is an excellent and well-written character but as a person he was absolutely horrible and I can't stand him.
Today is the birthday of actor Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the films, Star Wars Episode II- Attack of The Clones and Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of The Sith. As well as the live action Disney+ series "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and the live action Disney+ series "Ahsoka"!
