It seems like an ability only for extremely powerful dark side users, but then Dooku used it, and Vader couldn't. Vader seems arguably stronger than Dooku. So why couldn't Vader use force lightning? Is there a reason for this?

Looks a lot cooler! Maybe in scenes where yoda deflects lightning it would revert back to blue, its natural color
If it was his force lighting that deflected back at him that caused his face to become deformed then why was Luke okay when he was electrocuted by it? I know that there is an explanation in legends but Disney needs to come with one and other things.
Mine is Force Stasis. From Cal Kestis to Kylo Ren I think it's a incredibly useful force ability especially if one were to refine it enough to stop lightsabers or blaster bolts temporarily in place
Force Lighting and Force Drain would be a tied second place
The ability was within his skill level. And we saw Snoke use it, so we know that he could have definitely trained him in the ability. It would have certainly have helped him win in a number of battles he was involved in, so why do you think he didn’t use it? Was it just not a part of his fighting style? Or did he just not to make himself look ugly?
Do you guys remember this scene ? When Yoda deflected Palpatine's force lightning ? This is interesting for me because we see that for instance Rey, Obi Wan, Mace, Vader in any movie or comics were deflecting force lightning with their lightsaber.
And here comes my question. Is it so difficult to create something like Yoda ? Was it some kind of special power ability ?
I think what Yoda does in episode 3 we can classify as energy absorption or something like that. But for example Vader could also absorb energy, why couldn't he just absorb Palpatine's lightning or deflect them with the force ? Couldn't he just use a force barrier (we know he was good at that) ?
What do you think guys ?

When I watched the end of TROS, I was majorly confused. There was a lot of stuff going on in the last few scenes that didn’t seem to make much sense.
I have a few questions...
What did the whole “All the Jedi” actually mean? How did having all of the Jedi backing her actually affect Rey’s performance against Palpatine? There didn’t seem to be any visible change.
How did having an extra lightsaber make Rey stronger?
When Rey advanced on Palpatine, Palpatine clearly knew that his Force-lightning was killing him. Why didn’t he just... stop? Why didn’t he just stop firing Force-lightning and he wouldn’t have died?
So I just need to ask this because I wanna know. Why do people dislike Rey. And why do people like her? Please keep this as friendly argument as possible. Everyone’s opinion is valid. I personally just think they did her character poorly. I agree that Star Wars needs more female main characters, but that’s all Rey seemed to be. She had little to no story if you ask me, and everything about her happened because the plot compelled it. Take the force lighting, if I’m correct you need training to use that ability. And don’t pull the whole palpatine thing. Canon doesn't tell us much about it. So turning to legends, a jedi cannot use force lighting. Why didn’t any other Jedi use it in the movies? So yea that’s kinda my whole thing. Let’s hear yours
I gotta say, I did not expect this video to be hilarious. No clue what the story is here, but good enough for a laugh. Especially the ending.

So is it? Can Jedi legally use force lightning without being labeled a dark Jedi? Some Jedi may have the ability but are they allowed to use it? Rey did but that was cos she was a Palpatine. So if any of you guys in the comments know, please tell me.
