Obi-Wan Kenobi (television series)

Because honestly I am. Tired of people blaming her for everything, every project they don't like or ignoring the good ones she worked on. It's tiresome, people say she ruined Star Wars but they've been saying that every time a new content appears. It's been like that since the prequels.

With his soundtrack for The Rise of Skywalker and his main theme for Obi-Wan Kenobi being his final musical contributions to the galaxy far, far away, one can imagine that debate and rumors about who could potentially succeed the maestro are running rampant, especially given the plans for the next saga and trilogy. I for one am betting that Solo: A Star Wars Story composer John Powell would be a worthy candidate. Williams may had written the character's theme and co-composed cues with Powell that include Han's theme; but judging from at least a few reviews that I've read about that score and from my own ear for music, I think it's obvious that Powell proved his writing chops for this galaxy. (And this is coming from someone who doesn't even like Star Wars, no offense meant).

Today is the birthday of actor Liam Neeson, who played Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in 1999's Star Wars Episode I- The Phantom Menace, 2002's Star Wars Episode II- Attack of The Clones (voice only), 2019's Star Wars Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (voice only), and also 2022's Tales of The Jedi, and 2022's Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Today is the birthday of actor Hayden Christensen, who plays Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the films, Star Wars Episode II- Attack of The Clones and Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of The Sith. As well as the live action Disney+ series "Obi-Wan Kenobi" and the live action Disney+ series "Ahsoka"!

Star Wars is one of the most emotionally beautiful fictional stories of all time, and it shows that with lots of sad scenes. IMO, the saddest scene was when Vader told Obi-Wan “you didn’t kill Anakin Skywalker… I did…”

I clearly know it occurred before the events of AOTC going by their hairstyles: Obi-Wan had long hair and Anakin had a Padawan braid.

This is a question that has been on my mind for years what if Anakin didn't save Palpatine but instead saved Mace during the fight in the Chancellor's office? How would this change Revenge of the Sith, Siege of Mandolore arc of the Clone Wars, the earlier episodes of the Bad Batch, Grogu & Reva's flashbacks from both the Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, & Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi Fallen Order, etc? Would Anakin had realize that Mace was telling the truth about Palpatine trying to turn him to the Dark Side or would he did what he did in the original timeline?

Sorry if this has been discussed here before or if this is not the place, but there's this through line between these two characters that I'm having trouble reconciling and I'm wondering if anyone has a take on it.

Particularly, it's the Obi-Wan Kenobi series and how it fits in with the "Journals of Obi-Wan Kenobi" issues of the 2015 Marvel comics. They both have a moment where Owen goes to Obi-Wan, throws stuff that he tried to leave for Luke back at him and then tells him to stay away from his family.

The redundancy is already iffy, but plausible. The one in the series acknowledges that it's happened before but sources place it before the comics. The comics has him looking older but also has him being angrier and less patient, which doesn't make sense with how they ended in the series. The series kinda acknowledges the comics by having him wear the same outfit but they don't really follow the relational continuity.

I guess this could fall into the same broad strokes approach to canon that the lorekeepers have like the Kanan situation, but if that's the case, that's a lot of liberties taken. What do you think?

I just saw that the page has been updated with the events of Jedi: Survivor being placed after Obi-Wan Kenobi. I'd argue Survivor is before that, as the Purge Troopers in the game have the same design from Fallen Order and the Vader comics, while in Obi-Wan Kenobi they seem to have moved on to newer armour. Could this change be considered?
