In Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Rey, the main character of the New Trilogy, was revealed to be the granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine AKA Darth Sidious, the main villain of the Star Wars Saga. As shocking as that reveal was, I have a few questions about that. In the New Trilogy, we got a few glimpses into Rey's childhood through some flashbacks. When exactly did the events of those flashbacks take place? Because if we follow the timeline of the Star Wars Saga, the flashback events of Rey's childhood would've had to have taken place right after the Prequel Trilogy, and during the Original Trilogy. Maybe. Can someone explain it to me?
Welcome one, welcome all to Palpateasers, the brain busting pictogram puzzler which may keep you up at night.
The objective of the game is to guess the Star Wars character from the pictorial clue, which should spell out a name, provided by a player, who will take the job of Teaser Host. The rules have evolved somewhat over time since its creation in 2023, and they are now what you read below:
Guesses and clues as to the identity of a Teaser are unlimited.
To avoid being buried, five Teasers will be played per post, after which the next host will make a new one.
There is no determiner of host once a Teaser has been guessed. Anyone may post as long as this does not end in one person taking up hosting duties repeatedly.
In the event of a Teaser being guessed within 15 minutes of it being posted, the host for that round will be invited, though with no obligation to accept should they not be able to, to post another, which will count towards the same round. It is asked of those who are given this offer to please respond with their decision so as to not keep the other players in needless suspense, as it would fall to any of them to start the next round and keep the game going should the invitation be refused.
In this game, there are no host wins, so the hosts are advised to give clues to aid in the guessing of their Teaser, without giving away the answer unless the majority of players give up. This is in order to avoid users posting deliberately difficult ones that may help them towards a win.
Here is the latest round to set off this eleventh instalment of the game:
Good luck, and May the Force be with You, always.

Okay, this is a pretty controversial topic/theory I had to make, but here's the truth a Palpatine in the six Star Wars movies in my honest opinion.
Now I know majority of people and fans knows that Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker) is the main antagonist of the original trilogy of Star Wars.
However, in my case/opinion, the truth is in my unpopular opinion, that Palpatine is the TRUE antagonist of the Star Wars saga, for various reasons, but not much.
Palpatine executes Order 66 and he's the one who attempts to extinct the Jedi, and he is responsible for turning it into the Galactic Empire.
A betrayal toward the Jedi Knights as well.
Forces Anakin to be the Sith, which leads him to become Darth Vader.
Right several seconds away from his death in Death Star II, he attempts to kill Luke Skywalker, who was the son of Anakin himself.
To be fair, I'd rather take Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader over Palpatine. Even so, I feel like that Darth Vader is more of an anti-hero/or a anti-villain than just a villain despite this, since Luke was his father in ESB and ROTJ.
So what do you think of my topic about my thoughts on the difference between Palpatine and Darth Vader? As an adult that I liked Star Wars, I started to figured it out what it came from, and what turned out to be. Hope you like it.

How did he destroy the Imperial Senate?
Have you ever heard the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you…But it is a story James Luceno would tell you.
As one of the very first Star Wars books I read, James Luceno’s Darth Plagueis was a great introduction to Star Wars novels. When I read this book,I was still very new to the EU, and I knew practically nothing about Star Wars outside of the movies and shows, so jumping into this book was an entirely new experience. And needless to say, it was a great experience.
I loved reading about the relationship between Plagueis and Palpatine: it gave a lot of insight on both characters as well as their interactions with each other. At the time, I only knew Darth Plagueis from what Palpatine had said about him in Revenge of the Sith, so it was really fun to learn more about him and fully understand his “tragedy.” And of course I knew Palpatine, but oddly enough, I had never thought about his backstory. I absolutely loved his story in this book.
The irony of this story is one of my favorite things about this novel. Plagueis’s decision to attempt to live forever with his apprentice is actually what killed him. I’m a big fan of irony, so seeing Plagueis try to cheat death while knowing how his story would end was pure enjoyment.
I also really enjoyed all the philosophical aspects. I won’t get into it, but this book is full of interesting, thought-provoking philosophy.
This book is on the slower side, but I don’t mind at all. I love the slow build up and all the politics. I’m glad it took the time to show us the perspective of the Sith, Plagueis’s fall, and Palpatine’s rise. I like how this story is the last half of Plagueis’s life and builds to his end while it is more or less the beginning for Palpatine. The fact that the story begins with Plagueis killing his master and ends with him being killed by his apprentice is oddly satisfying. “It’s like poetry, It rhymes.”
I recommend Darth Plagueis to every Star Wars fan. It’s one of those EU books that I want EVERYONE to read. It’s one of the most well written Star Wars books I’ve read, and it adds so much to this amazing universe. 5/5 stars🌟
In a way, Darth Plagueis started my EU journey, a journey that will not end anytime soon. So thank you, James Luceno, for introducing me to the wonderful world of Star Wars books.

Does anyone know of a public appearance that Palpatine made, with the exception of the Lords of the Sith novel or the one scene in the Imperial Senate in the Bad Batch, after the Decoration of the New Order? So a scene outside the Imperial Palace, or the Jedi Temple, or one of the Death Stars, or the 500 Republica Penthouse, or any other remote, hidden, classified Imperial locations.
Palpatine is easily the most important character in SW.If he hadn't taxed the outer rim, nothing would have happened. That's why Star Wars is so cool to me, the smallest details change an entire galaxy. He's also just so darn evil, he 's interesting to see, but somewhat predictable, like using his force lightning even though it always fails. Kind of like boss fights in video games, in a good way.
Although I don't like what the sequels did to him. Bringing him back in Legends was cool, and at least we knew that he was dead for sure. I mean, in canon, what's stopping Palpy from just having a hundred clones. Rey would probably beat them all up though, because somehow she never loses...
I guess palpatine is cool because he's so evil. Yeah, Darth Vader and Dooku were cool, but they were jedi at one point. Palpatine is the pure evil character, one of the few that literally only cares about himself. He throws around even his closest apprentices for a new one. This guy is so messed up.
Anyway, hopefully we can have an interesting discussion below.
