The picture literally shows how much Star Wars loves Dathomir and the Nightsisters, even after their massacre. In my opinion, this is a stupid idea, especially when a new project creates holes in others. When it turned out that the Nightsisters did not die out, in Jedi: Fallen Order and Merrin survived, this already created a lot of questions, personally for me, since it was already known that Maul lived there and had his own base there, as shown in Rebels. And in fact, neither Malicos nor Merrin felt Maul's presence.
This whole story with Merrin was made purely for the sake of players like: "oh Dathomir, oh wow zombie witches, oh Zabraks", but it was made as if someone piled on everything we knew, claiming that "well, it turns out they did not die out, they somehow survived"
Okay, that was still bearable, I played, enjoyed it. Until Ahsoka and Tales of the Empire came out, Morgan Elsbeth now turns out to be a survivor of that massacre, and she survived thanks to the Mountain Clan. Even when I watched Ahsoka, I was already freaking out because she literally never appeared anywhere before except for The Mandalorian, where there was no hint that she was a nightsister. Not a word about her in Jedi: Fallen Order from Merrin, which means they don’t know about each other. And with this they create even more holes, for example, why didn’t the Mountain Clan save Merrin as well, she was there, she saw Grievous.
The picture doesn’t seem whole if there are such holes(hah). The main thing is to continue watching stupid shows and pointing finger at the screen and be happy at every cameo and familiar place. Literally like it was in Ahsoka when Morgan turned out to be a witch.
