@Mantelian Prime Afraid that’s not possible. Only officially licensed images can go on the wiki. As that’s fan made, it’s not an actual representation of the subject.
That's part of it. It's also so they're not susceptible to being exploited by advertising.
No problem. One of my past roles at Wikia/Fandom was trust and safety, so always able and willing to chime in on those subjects if there's questions!
As pointed out before, the 16 year minimum for users from the European Union is the result of GDPR compliance. That rule was implemented in May 2018 when GDPR went into effect. There's a new California law, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), that goes into effect on January 1st that will also bring some changes to data collection. It's been referred to as California's GDPR. It's widely expected that other states, and perhaps the US federal government, will follow suit over the next several years.
The 13 year old requirement is due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), a US law that has been in effect since 2000. That law governs what kind of personal information can be collected from children online, including basic required info like email addresses. US-based companies, like Fandom, are also required to follow this law even for children who live outside of the United States. As a result, our privacy policy and Terms of Use require that you be 13.
There is a provision of the law that allows for parental permission to register at an age younger than 13, but that's rarely actually used by online companies due to the costs associated with processing those requests, verifying parental identity, and storing/maintaining that verification info.
Tl;dr - the rules are what they are because that's the law.
The wiki also has a policy that says that if a film character was given a name in a Legends source but hasn't been given a name in a Canon source, it won't receive a page until it's given a Canon name. That way it's not an "Unidentified" article.
There's a deleted scene that I really like, from The Force Awakens, where she says "Not all the senators think I'm insane. Or maybe they do. I don't care." That was a very Carrie moment. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxWWzdUhcwA
I’m not sure exactly how to do it at this point, I’m afraid. Currently the update is only on Android and I use iOS
The Fandom app now lets you bookmark news and wiki article content you want to get back to later. I'd note that bookmarks are stored on a per-device basis, so they don't transfer across devices, and they may be lost if you sign out of the app. Discussions posts are not currently bookmarkable.
Wookieepedia admins regularly update the community's theme. Next month will be Mandalorian, then TROS in December/January, then The Clone Wars after that.
Jedi Outcast is my go-to if I'm bored. It never gets old.
KOTOR's up there too of course. I also really liked Star Wars: Clone Wars, Starfighter, Jedi Starfighter, and Galactic Battlegrounds (though that one was a strategy game). The original Battlefront II was also great.
8/10. Got the last two wrong. Those were good ones.
Damn.
