Oh I plan on it, I actually have all the current TPB for all the comics but have been busy with a lot of projects the last 6 months and am so behind in all Star Wars reading lol can’t wait to start it up again

I’ve only read up to the Yoda’s secret war arc but so far it’s a tie between Skywalker Strikes and Vader Down.

Like what you said Mina the parts in Skywalker Strikes with Fett, Kenobis journal and Vader are awesome.

Vader Down was great to see Vader be a total bad ass and all the stuff with Aphra and her killer droids.

Seeing Leia face Vader was great too.

I’ve really liked all the arcs so far. They’re all great in their own way offering something different with each one.

The Star Wars comics so far I feel is doing some of the best stuff in canon consistently. Expanding the universe, world building, character arcs. Keeping it all interesting

Also I’ve learned that anyone who has to use where they’re from as some type of validation of how bad they had it or tough they are as fake as unicorns.

Legends- Thrawn Trilogy

Yeah there is a couple great stories to be told about Luke between ESB and ROTJ. His thoughts on training with Yoda, his father revelation -which he still isn’t sure if Vader is because he needs to ask Yoda in ROTJ.

He becomes so much more mature in those 8 months or so between the films. I’d like to know how they hatched the plan to rescue Han. Was he like plan C if Lando or Leia couldn’t rescue him?

I hope Lucasfilm has some cool stories planned for the time between ESB and ROTJ. I believe the only stuff we got so far was Leias young adult book that’s in the same series as this Luke one. I think a little bit of Battlefront:Twilight Company was post ESB too.

I have thought that Mina & it would be cool if this is in fact Fett in new armor.

I am of the thinking though that all the stuff in Aftermath with it possibly Fett’s armor & this Cobb Vanth guy was just something the Storygroup let Wendig do without confirming anything about Fett.

I do not believe the snippets we got in Aftermath were part of some big plan Lucasfilm had to introduce Fett again. Evidence of that being the movie being cancelled, no other Fett info in almost 3 years.

Lucasfilm just starts a bunch of little story threads with no end goal & not many are paying off.

Did mainstream people know who Deadpool is from the Marvel universe? No. So the basis of people not knowing who he is shouldn’t matter.

Really getting tired of Lucasfilm being all over the map & it feels like they don’t know what the hell theyre doing.

They’re being reactionary to stuff instead of setting a path. This is getting very old. Losing confidence in this new canon continuity & feel like they’re not having enough things pay off that they set up

I’ve read nearly all of the new canon books & out of the 25 or so there is I feel this is my least favorite.

It is part of the younger reader Disney Lucasfilm books which is fine as I enjoyed all of the other young reader books but this one is very young adult. The plot and dialogue was very kiddie. There was some good parts and intrigue but ultimately not enough for me overall.

The parts with Bail, Mandolore flashbacks and the inquisitor were my favorite but everything else subpar.

I feel this book is the most overrated of all the new canon books as I’ve only seen a couple others unimpressed by it also. Seems like if it’s anything about Ahsoka it has to be great which this book wasn’t.

These are questions we’ve been waiting for answers on for almost 3 years. All the noise was, we’ll find more out about Snoke in TLJ, and then....nothing. So hopefully we get them. I feel it’s been way too long & have leaned towards Lucasfilm dropping the ball on a lot of new canon stuff & things not being organized. But that’s a diff conversation.

I feel they’re getting in the right track now so these answers & stories should be forthcoming soon.

Things might be different w/o some of the other moderators but I do not miss this guy CLG insulting SW fans & running this forum board like his personal court where only what he believes goes & ppl who disagree are misguided. Here’s a sample quote by him from TLJ thread.

To follow up to your Truce at Bakura & SOTE comment. I haven’t read those in almost 20 yrs but I actually have started to re-accumulate a hardcover collection of original legends novels & plan on starting to read them again soon.

Some of the new canon stuff the last yr has got me longing for old legends universe so planning to revisit.

I actually got back into SW after a 10 yr hiatus after TFA came out & dived into the new canon in release order starting from Clone Wars cartoon & into the new novels & comics.

If you plan on starting from legends in release order then getting into new canon it will take a VERY long time.
