People need to realize that Luke didn't simply go to Acch-to to run away. He must have chosen that significant place for a reason. Perhaps to try to better understand the Jedi ways?
Maybe it was from his study and meditation on Acch-To that he came to the conclusion that the role of the Jedi in the galaxy must end. But he was still trying to help, he wasn't just sulking. Though this is just my opinion as it's not made very clear, I think this is the implication.
Compared to all the angry reactions, this is brilliantly written. Well done, I was a defender of the scene but you have made me question it.
