Hello wookieepedia I haven't posted here in ages but randomly thought of a strange continuity problem revolving around astromechs and wanted to read a bit more into it (since I'm lowkey obsessed with these things)
During the Clone Wars episode where R3-S6 is introduced, Ahsoka says to Anakin, "I heard that the new R3s are more powerful than the old R2 units."
...yet, if the R-Series droids were made chronologically (because why would 3 come after 5?), they aren't new-? There's an R5 seen 10 years prior to the Clone Wars in The Phantom Menace (ignoring the fact that they're promptly destroyed during the blockade escape about a minute later)
It could honestly be boiled down to the fact that Ahsoka's still a child around that time and probably didn't know (or maybe Goldie himself was deliberately delivered and advertised that way given he's a spy idk), but it's still a pretty humorous oversight imo. What do you all think?
