I don't fully agree with that. I really didn't like some of his movies. TLJ was a mess. And Star Wars wouldn't be his own ideas, just his take. Part of why it didn't work before.
I really like Knives Out, and like some of his other movies, though not as well.
I don't think he deserves his own trilogy to redeem TLJ. I feel overall any and all SW projects need to focus on story telling and spend more time on writing than rushing to just make things.
