Ah yes, my friend come closer I have good news: Monday Morning Coffee is back like a heart attack, budday! Get yourself a juice box or whatever an educated Wookieepedian such as yourself would like to sip on for such an occasion, and, as the kids say, Geronimo.
🗞️ Star Wars News
New Releases
Firstly, we have something of a twofer: two Star Wars: Visions episodes comic-ized in one comic which released.
The High Republic short stories from Star Wars: Insider magazine issues were rounded up and bounded up in a hardcover for those who weren't able to read them from the magazine.
Continuing the twofer trend, the 10th and 11th episodes of the Bad Batch are out and about with @UndyingSoldier hosting our official discussion for it!
Hold-tha-do! It is "the king of the craft", "the rower of the raft" the one and the lone "Charles "THE Homie" Soule, who, I will remind you, is by all definitions, the definitive goat of Star Wars writers. yea verily, he, himself, has hand crafted another Star Wars (2020) comic in issue #45.

I know the eclipse is supposed to be today for a lot of us, but I didn't think it was supposed to happen now. *Looks up* By Jove and Scott almighty- I should have known- its @Supreme Emperor coming in on his signature star destroyer, baby! Looks like another interview live of the ol' Tube for us to check out! Thanks, SE!
🔶 Status Update
@Ajjviolin96 has updated the status, my friends, and, this week, The Pinnacle caught my eye and really took me down memory lane, seeing as they used to call me that back in high school. If you didn't know that one, I don't blame you. Unlike my past nicknames that show up every so often, this one was not one of the obvious ones, though, I will say, if you were paying close attention, you probably could have been able to sniff it out. Shout-out to Lewisr for that CAN!

@FlankerE102 took the throne in Round 180 of Meme of the Week. Here's the synopsis for those who like to study the art of meme war:
☀️ Community Projects
You want to know whose tactics both frighten me and definitely confuse me? @Cyborg Commando's. He is maintaining his reign better than Palpatine did at this point! Even though it is merely more ceremonial than an actual, good old fashioned jousting, he has posted the 151st round of Guess That Article to taunt us for something of a 5th time. Yes, a 5th taunting as it were!
In more favorable and, quite frankly, less humiliating circumstances, @Enderdrag64 has the latest edition of his Cue by Cue series out, this time, taking a look at R-2's very own cue. For what it sounds like and Ender's analysis on it, it is right here for you:

Well yabadaba-do and yabadaba-day, this has been another MMC. Now, on a more serious note, I'm planning on taking a break from writing Monday Morning Coffee for at least a bit. However, if you would fancy trying out writing a Monday Morning Coffee, go ahead and sign-em up in the Newsroom that is always linked in these MMCs! As long as you would enjoy doing it, just take your time, try your best, and that is all your fellow Wookieepedians could ask of you! So thank y'all for reading, and until next time.
May God smile on you this week and always,
And May the Force Be With You!
In a move long awaited by fans, Kathleen Kennedy, the force behind the sequels, Solo, Obi-Wan Kenobi and other projects under Disney has been ousted, and replaced as president of Lucasfilm by the beloved Dave Filoni.
More Info:
https://boulderbugle.com/chaos-in-lucasfilm-as-filoni-replaces-kathleen-kennedy-zf2JxXHX
On a personal note, I am very pleased to see this. Maybe now Star Wars can get back to normal, as I am sure the drought of Filoni characters in TV will be quickly rectified under this new leadership.
http://news.rr.nihalnavath.com/news/Din-Djarin-Grogu-to-appear-in-Star-Wars-The-Acolyte-c3860ba6
I'll do my best to summarize the article here so that you don't have to click on the link.
As you can probably tell from the title, Din Djarin and Grogu are going to be in The Acolyte. And you're probably wondering how that's going to work considering that The Acolyte is a prequel. Well, apparently the World Between Worlds is going to be involved and that's why they set it up in Ahsoka.
Additional leaks and rumors suggest that the plot will entail Din and Grogu travelling back in time to search for a way to defeat Grand Admiral Thrawn, potentially by recruiting Jedi from the order's glory days.
Personally, I find this very shocking. I thought this show was going to be a nice little story similar to Andor, but it looks like it's just getting tied in to the whole "Mandoverse" or whatever. Honestly the whole Mandoverse thing just can't really work because in that era all roads lead to the First Order-Resistance war so they can't do anything really interesting.
If they're doing time travel they should go back in time and make the sequels not happen so they can do something better. Although I don't really have faith in them to make something better, after this.
But whatever the case, I haven't really been following Star Wars lately. I didn't even watch Bad Batch Season 3. So this won't impact me much aside from removing my hope that The Acolyte might be good. So I guess I'll just say this:
APRIL FOOLS!
A Hey howdy hey and hodie ho to you my friend! Come right on in, gather on round, and help yourself to some Jawa juice because we are about to round this week own up!

🗞️ Star Wars News
New Releases
The week's Bad Batch episode is out, and, this time, @Daisy Aipom hosted the official disussion for it!
Jango's very own miniseries released this week. I wonder if it will show Dooku hiring him or something, since Canon hasn't told that story yet.
As always, if a new piece of media is released, and you would like to discuss it with the community, you are more than welcome to make the official discussion post for it. Until then, the link to the article will be provided.
The High Republic comic series continued in its 5th issue. Looks like Sskeer is in some trouble there!
Zahn's Thrawn comic miniseries also saw a return with its second to last issue! Really liking the cover with this one. The colors pop really well, and the background's brown, black and blue works really well. Looks like the homie Thrawn is cookin' something up as always.
The Ronin got something of a one-issue back story in the latest addition to the Star Wars Visions catalogue.

Bingo bongo we are done! A nice selection of new comics this week, I'd wager. I wonder how many people will go to the movies to watch those rereleases. While watching RotS would be nice, but I can't imagine going out and paying to watch it. After all, I own the whole saga in DVDs. As a matter of fact, I just watched RotS with Georgio's commentary which was kind of nice. An-y-ways, hope you enjoyed this edition, and have a blessed week!

What are your first impressions?
My opinion:
INSAAAAANE! That’s exactly what I wanted, I don’t think I‘ve ever been more excited about an upcoming Star Wars Project. I know it‘s just a trailer, but the choreos of the fight scenes looked really good, same goes for the CGI. Love the assassin-like look of the Sith (talking about the character on the thumbnail). I‘m a big fan of Carrie-Anne Moss, so seeing her as a jedi touches me a bit.

Darth Vader (2020) continued in its 44th issue. Love those Tatooine-ish tones!
The Mace Windu miniseries released its 2nd issue. Now hold on a second... you don't think that these Bore worms of Ro Mira could have been inspired by Dune do you? We're looking pretty sandy and full of teeth if you ask me (which of course you did). With all the Dune hype going around, I couldn't help, but notice a similarity there.

Honorable Mentions
Using my emergency powers to showcase a post that I deem worthy, I wanted to shout-out another short essay that we had shared with us this week by @Lord Maaar on Valkorion that I enjoyed. I really don't know anything about the old republic besides knowledge of a few character's existences, so getting a bit more education on the subject was interesting. I found it curious that the Valkster wanted to inhale the galaxy so that he could become a farmer. I don't know about you, but that sounds like an absolutely lit villain motive to me. However, as M triple a r describes, it wasn't upheld across his many appearances, so it really didn't go anywhere, which I think is pretty depressing. (My disappointment is immensurable and my day is henceforth ruined!) Anyways, here it is for you to check out if you wish. Thanks for your thoughts, triple A!

No better way to kick us off than with an appearance of the homie, himself: Charles Soule, as the 7th volume of the Star Wars 2020 comic series covers the Dark Droids storyline that he authored!
As always, if a new piece of media is released, and you would like to discuss it with the community, you are more than welcome to make the official discussion post for it. Until then, the link to the article will be provided.
And keeping with the Dark Droids trend, we have the D-Squad miniseries receiving its trade paperback, bringing all four issues into one comic book. Personally, I think D-squad is one of the most underrated Clone Wars arcs! Just makes me wonder how the homie WAC is doing out there, lol!
A brand new High Republic young adult novel released. I must say, that is one unique cover! Before noticing it on its article, I thought it looked like an oil painting, and, evidently, it is, and it took the artist 150 hrs! I can see why; most impressive!
Starting to be a nice addition to everyone's Wednesdays, fifth episode of the Bad Batch released, and @Bonzane10 hosting our official discussion for it.
If you were to tell me that we would have not one, but two appearances of Galactic Legend: Charles Soule, I don't think I would believe you, and yet here we are! Issue #44 is out and about continuing Lando's side of things. Looks like he's seen brighter days.

And, with that, my bombad broskies, we are onto the next week! I hear that the final season of the Bad Batch is premiering this Wednesday, so that is something to look forward to. At my house, we are not planning on renewing our Disney + subscription for a while, so I won't be in the loop, but (and this is just me) I don't really care too much about the Bad Batch. I love Wreaker, and sure, Crosheir is alright, but that's about as far as I'm in, unfortunately. All I'm looking for is a happy ending for the homie Wreaker. Anyways, enough of my chattery! If you are going to have the opportunity to watch the Bad Batch, I hope you will enjoy it greatly! I'll hope to be here to gather the official discussions for it! Until then, have a good one, my friend!

In this interview Dee Bradley Baker, Michelle Ang, Jennifer Corbett, and Brad Rau, I thought it was so interesting because Dee pointed out that this is the last thing that George Lucas will have touched. Since the clone wars was his idea, and the bad batch is a spin-off of the clone wars it will be the last thing that George have had any effect in since Disney purchased the franchise.
Plus reviews for the first eight episodes of season three are coming in! Seems like this is going to best season yet; higher stakes, less filler episodes, much darker and emotional, twists, and “HUGE” connections to lore.
Edit: I might add some more interviews that I find interesting related to S3 as they come out that way you can see/react/comment on what you think.
Ahoy there, matey and welcome back to the greatest Star Wars news round up in all the seven seas: Monday. Morning. Coffee! Get that big ol' boogley pot of coffee on the burner and get settled in your favorite chair because we've got it all this edition.

🗞️ Star Wars News
New Releases
First up, the fourth and final volume of prequel era pre-clone wars comics was released last week. Love the cover art!
As always, if a new piece of media is released, and you would like to discuss it with the community, you are more than welcome to make the official discussion post for it. Until then, the link to the article will be provided.
The youngster Star Wars fans received a fun High Republic novel of their own which neatly continues Phase 2.
Why, by joe, what would you know! The last release for January was the final issue of Doctor Aphra's 2020 series! I wonder if this means that we're going to be moving on from this era between Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi sometime soon, since that is what the 2020 series essentially is.
Starting our time in the month of February, three Legends novels were reprinted as apart of the Essential Legends Collection. I must say, there sure is a whole lot of legends that is essential, lol. Regardless, I'm just here for those spruced up covers, particularly Order 66's and Knight Errant's. Order 66, Wraith Squadron, Knight Errant.
Next, Mace Windu's solo comic miniseries premiered.
And lastly, the fifth issue of the Obi-Wan Kenobi comic-ization released.

May the Peace and the Force Be With You
This year marks the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, and, by extension, the Prequel Trilogy as a whole. There’s been some minor announcements this week regarding the milestone, and I think they’re worth talking about.
Firstly, it was announced earlier today (to no one’s surprise, really) that The Phantom Menace will return to theaters on May 4th weekend to celebrate the film’s anniversary.
With The Bad Batch ending just short of May 4th, there was speculation that something would fill the date, and now we have our answer. This reaffirms Lucasfilm’s commitment to bringing the old films back to theaters. We saw ROTJ get a theatrical run last year for its 40th anniversary, and with TPM getting similar treatment, I think we can expect this trend to continue. Next year would be TESB’s 45th anniversary, and ROTS’ 20th, so maybe one or both of those films hit the big screen in 2025.
But, beyond that, I’d bet on Acolyte marketing to kick into gear alongside TPM’s return to theaters. It would make a ton of sense as the show is essentially a prequel to the prequels.
The other bit of Prequel news this week came from Empire Magazine who announced a special issue to celebrate Lucas’ second trilogy. The issue has some gorgeous cover art, and features interviews with the likes of Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, and Samuel L. Jackson (who I’m betting will be using the opportunity to once again campaign for Mace Windu’s survival lol). But perhaps most exciting of all, and I genuinely mean this, is the triumphant return of our Lord and Savior Rick McCallum. If you know you know.
The issue releases on Thursday, February 15, and, as your resident Prequel Stan, I’ll be picking up a copy as soon as I can get my hands on one.
And just look at this:
Let me know if any of you will be checking out the Empire issue, or seeing TPM in theaters for Star Wars day!
Have a good day, everyone.
For those who saw my post on its announcement and were wondering about the cover it was finally revealed earlier today
As for the new Epic, it is Darth Vader Vol 1: Shadows and Secrets
