Star Wars (Stjörnustríð) er almennt heiti yfir sex myndir eftir George Lucas. Fyrsta myndin, Episode IV: A New Hope (ísl. Ný von), kom út 15. maí 1977 og naut hún mikilla vinsælda. Á eftir henni komu tvær framhaldsmyndir, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) og Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983). Sextán árum síðar var gerð forsaga í þremur myndum, Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002) og Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). Mikið af bókum, myndasögum, tölvuleikjum og hreyfimyndum hefur verið gert, sem flokkast allt undir svokallað Expanded Universe.
Aðalpersónurnar eru Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi og Padmé Amidala, leikin af Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Hayden Christensen, Ewan McGregor og Natalie Portman.
