Karen Traviss è l'autrice di molti romanzi di Star Wars, come Republic Commando: Hard Contact e i suoi sequel Republic Commando: Triple Ziro, Republic Commando: True Colors, Order 66: A Republic Commando Novel e Imperial Commando: 501st e come anche i romanzi della saga Eredità della Forza Bloodlines, Sacrifice e Revelation. Ha scritto inoltre due romanzi della serie The Clone Wars: il primo della saga, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, e il terzo, The Clone Wars: No Prisoners.
Biografia[]
Traviss è nata nell'area di Portsmouth, in Inghilterra. Prima di diventare una scrittrice a tempo pieno ha fatto vari lavori, tra cui docente di giornalismo, scrittrice di testi pubblicitari, ufficiale di collegamento e corrispondente della difesa. Ha servito nella Territorial Army, ad esempio nel Royal Naval Auxiliary Service. Adesso vive a Wiltshire, in Inghilterra.
E' conosciuta per dare molta importanza ai suoi fan, rispondendo a molti dei messaggi che riceve.
