James Luceno rodjen 1947 godine je Americki pisac i autor je vise Star Wars romana i kratkih prica kao i referentnih knjiga koje izdaju DK Publishing i LucasBooks. Zajedno sa Brian Daley-em pisao je serijal Robotech kao i roman Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. Pored pisanja bavi se jos i muzikom, stolarijom, pise scenarija i povremeno radi kao turisticki vodic.
