The "Changeling" Mark 71NB was a type of racing starfighter. Ace Squadron pilot Bo Keevil flew one, the Yellow Ace, during the New Republic Era.[1]

The "Changeling" Mark 71NB first appeared in part one of the two-part episode "The Recruit,"[2] the first episode of the first season of the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, which aired on October 7, 2018.[5] The model was identified in the 2019 reference book Ultimate Star Wars, New Edition.[1]
The model was named by Adam Bray in reference to Mark Newbold, with "71" referencing his birth year and "NB" referencing "Newbold."[6]
