- Construction of the Death Star moves from Geonosis to Scarif.[8]
- The Galactic Empire establishes the Imperial security complex on Scarif's surface.[8]
- "Vader's Many Prosthetic Parts," a song written by Nakari Kelen's mother and performed by the group Hakko Drazlip and the Tootle Froots that mocks Darth Vader, is published. Just days after its release, the Empire sends the entire group to the Spice mines of Kessel.[9]
- Han Solo deserts from the Galactic Empire and meets his lifelong friend and companion Chewbacca on Mimban.[10]
- Han Solo does the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs using the Millennium Falcon to evade pursuing TIE fighters following a raid on Kessel.[10]
