4-S was a chrome-colored droid owned by the Chiss pirate Captain Swagg, prior to the Invasion of Naboo.
The captain desired to steal several Gungan relics from the Gungan Sacred Place and to this end, he employed 4-S along with its fellow droids 3-S and 5-S to destroy the arena in Lake Umberbool, but the attempt was thwarted by Jar Jar Binks and Major Fassa.
This resulted in the destruction of 4-S, and his head was later used by the Gungans against Swagg.
