The All Terrain Force Reconnaissance Walker (AT-FRC) was a two-person bipedal walker used for reconnaissance, first by the Grand Army of the Republic Advanced Recon Commandos near the end of the Clone Wars, and later on by the Galactic Empire. It was derived from the smaller, one-position All Terrain Recon Transport (AT-RT).[1]
The AT-FRC featured a narrow, lightly-armored body between two reverse-articulated legs that gave the walker a smaller silhouette, enabling it to effectively utilize cover. The driver would sit in the higher of the two seats, with the lower being occupied by the reconnaissance systems operator in a transparisteel bubble canopy providing good visibility with few blind spots.[1]
The walker was equipped with the Fabritech LongView-341.A as well as a high-powered encrypted comms system which allowed the easy gathering and transmission of intel. The AT-FRC also possessed stealth systems, such as a Sound-Dampening Camouflage System to muffle engine noise and allowing camouflage with surroundings, as well as an EMP dampening system which hid energy emissions. Weapon-wise, the walker was outfitted with a double-barrel autoblaster and a rapid-fire concussion grenade launcher.[1]
