"Cavan has been involved with the High Republic project since the very start, so it seemed like an obvious choice to set one of our stories during that time, and it was fantastic to be able to get involved with this exciting new era and to tell a story about Jedi Master Stellan 'on patrol' during Coruscant's winter festivities. It's inspired by that classic 'Christmas in the city' sub-genre, which shows a different side to the pomp and circumstance of the High Republic."
―George Mann[1]

"A Coruscant Solstice" is a short story that was published in the Life Day Treasury short story collection. The story was authored by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Grant Griffin, and published on September 7, 2021. The tale revolves around Jedi Master Stellan Gios patrolling Coruscant during Solstice Tide. Though the story's artwork in the announcement interview was titled "Heart of the Jedi," the actual collection titles the story "A Coruscant Solstice."

  2. "A Coruscant Solstice" takes place after Stellan Gios joined the Jedi High Council after The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, but before his death in The High Republic: The Fallen Star. Light of the Jedi ends in 232 BBY per the reasoning here, and The Fallen Star can be placed in c. 230 BBY per the reasoning here, meaning that "A Coruscant Solstice" takes place between those years.
