The Abandoned Bunker was a bunker located in the Kor Vella mesa, near the city of Kor Vella, on the planet Corellia.

History[]

The building was abandoned by the time of Battle of Yavin.[1] In 1 ABY,[3] an independent spacer working for CorSec Lieutenant Cope visited the bunker while investigating an assassination attempt on Deel Draav, the mayor of Kor Vella. The spacer found evidence that seemed to prove that his political opponent Hershel Sheridan had been behind the assassination attempt.[1] The spacer also met the scientist Lejo Daramus at the entrance of the bunker. Daramus paid the spacer to rid the place of fiendish durnis in order to use the place to conduct his research.[2]

The Abandoned Bunker appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The Abandoned Bunker was added to the game with the update named "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives," published on June 8, 2006.[5]

Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
