- "Sir, the enemy is attempting to flee through the debris field."
- ―A B1-series battle droid, to General Grievous
The Abregado debris field orbited Anza,[5] the star[6] of the Abregado system. It was formed from the wreckage of a Republic fleet that was destroyed by the Separatist Subjugator-class heavy cruiser Malevolence in the Abregado system during the Battle of Abregado, an early battle of the Clone Wars.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The Abregado debris field first appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Rising Malevolence," the second episode of the canon animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars' first season,[2] which originally aired on October 3, 2008.[7] It was first identified in the episode's accompanying guide on StarWars.com.[5]
