Adar Tallon was a human[1] who served in the Galactic Empire and later as an officer in the Alliance to Restore the Republic after defecting. Following his defection, Tallon authored Treatise on Starfighter Tactics, a book that explored the rules of starfighter engagement in detail and codified starfighter techniques. Tallon examined and formulated five important moments in any battle, describing them as Detection, Closing, Attack, Maneuver, and Disengagement; which were collectively referred to as the Five Stages of Combat.[2]
Tallon at one point observed a hologram of a battle between several rebel warships and an Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. He wore an Alliance officer military uniform, which included black gloves, a beige collared shirt with pins, worn under a brown military tunic. Tallon had light skin, blue eyes, and black hair.[1]
