"I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy the whispers of surprise when I walked onto the scene. That's right, boys. Fett's here."
―Excerpt from "Added Muscle"[2]

"Added Muscle" is a short story in the anthology From a Certain Point of View. The story, written by Paul Dini, is from the point of view of Boba Fett.

Plot summary[]

Under Jabba the Hutt's instructions, the bounty hunter Boba Fett meets Jabba and his entourage at Docking Bay 94. Jabba has told Fett that it is a collection job and he needs some insurance. Fett thinks the meeting can unfold in two ways. First, Jabba gets his money from Han Solo, and they can all leave happy. Second, Solo and Chewbacca resist, and Fett gets to add a new scalp to his collection. Fett had initially been planning to leave Tatooine yesterday but had delayed his departure after learning that Darth Vader was looking for two renegade droids. Fett also wanted to curry favor with Lord Vader after killing two rebel spies on Coruscant.

Fett had joined the hunt for the two droids, but the trail had dried up at the site where Imperial stormtroopers had massacred a clan of Jawas in their sandcrawler. Fett had answered Jabba's call with the hope of settling scores with Solo and hunting Chewbacca down. While with Jabba, the Hutt crime lord might consider the bounty hunter the closest thing he has got to a friend. Fett is present when Solo convinces Jabba to give him an extension to pay back the money. While Fett is disappointed, he vows to hunt down Solo and to skin Chewbacca for his auburn scalp.
