Advanced Recon Commando heavy gunners (ARC heavy gunners) were the vanguards of the Advanced Recon Commandos, making use of powerful heavy weapons.

ARC-PLX1 BF — An ARC trooper with a PLX-1 portable missile launcher.

Wielding high-powered rapid-firing weapons such as the Reciprocating quad blaster or the Z-6 rotary blaster cannon,^[1] they were the scourge of Separatist vehicles. Their specialized armor was equipped with a direct feed from their helmets' HUDs to their heavy weapons, granting them extra targeting capability.^[2] Other ARC heavy gunners were equipped with PLX-1 portable missile launchers, DC-15S, V-1 thermal detonators and HX2 antipersonnel mines.^[3]

History[]

During the Clone Wars, ARC heavy weapon specialists fought on Geonosis, Kamino, Rhen Var and Kashyyyk.^[3]

Rail ARC troopers[]

A variation of the ARC heavy gunners were the Rail-class Advanced Recon Commandos. They also wielded Z-6 rotary cannons and were one of the trooper types found among the Anti-troopers after the Declaration of a New Order. Anti-troopers fought Imperial stormtroopers as well as Boba Fett on Kamino.^[4]
