Aeosians were a sentient species native to the Outer Rim planet Aeos Prime. One tribe of Aosians were ruled by a queen. During the First Order-Resistance War, representatives of the Colossus including Kazuda Xiono and Griff Halloran met with their ruler.[1]
Biology and appearance[]
Aeosians were a bipedal species with long limbs and webbed hands and feet. They had flat faces with large, forward-facing eyes and somewhat humanoid noses and lips. They had four small spikes on their chins. Aeosians had smooth skin that could be various shades of blue or green in color. On their heads, Aeosians possessed a dorsal fin that ran from the peak of the forehead to the base of the skull, as well as fins that curved along their cheekbones. Fins could also be observed on the backs of their calves, on the outer sides of their feet, and on their necks.[1]
Aeosians were sexually dimorphic, with males possessing broader skulls, necks, and shoulders than the more slender females.[1]
Technology[]
Despite the planet's low-tech appearance, at least one tribe of Aeosians was known to have access to relatively modern technology.[1]
The tribe used vibro-blade spears[2] that could be activated, causing electricity to arc around the blade. At least while activated, the spears were capable of disabling an aged B2-series super battle droid and blocking blaster bolts. The spears had a second point above that main blade, the tip of which glowed blue when the spear was activated. These spears had a gold material fashioned onto them, mostly around the point between the staff and the spearhead.[1] A variant of this spear was used by the tribe's queen, which had more gold material fashioned onto it, and two points from the side edges of the main blade, giving it the appearance more akin to a trident.[1]
The Aeosian tribe also used energy gates to keep prisoners.[1]
