The Aeten system was located in the Wild Space in the galaxy. The system was situated in grid square J-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

The Aeten system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the appendix "Star Systems of the Galaxy," published on the StarWars.com website on June 24, 2025,[1] as part of the "The Star Wars Galaxy" article.[3] The system was originally introduced in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the reference book Star Wars: Empire at War: Prima Official Game Guide, published by Prima Games on February 14, 2006.[4]
