Airbases were military facilities used to construct and house starfighters, bombers, and air transports. They were utilized by the Naboo military, the Trade Federation, the Gungans, the Rebel Alliance, the Galactic Empire, and the Wookiees. At least one airbase was located near the Imperial Palace on Coruscant, along with an Imperial fortress and a war center.
