Airten was a Human male sergeant of the Bespin Wing Guard, the main security force of Cloud City on the gas giant Bespin, during the Galactic Civil War.[1] A burly Wing Guard member,[2] his large size prevented him from becoming a pilot; however his non-standard build did not matter to Lando Calrissian, the planet's Baron Administrator. Airten was a sympathizer of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.[1]
Behind the scenes
Sergeant Airten first appeared on a card for the Premiere set of Decipher's 2001 Jedi Knights Trading Card Game. His combat abilities are slightly better than average, according to his card's game statistics. The character was later given an entry in 2008's The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
