"Tell this kid as he watched A New Hope in the cinema in Salisbury in 1978 - the first film I ever saw on a big screen - that I'd stand in front of an X Wing on Yavin 4 as part of the Star Wars pantheon. Andor at the helm of Tony Gilroy is some of the finest work to have ever been involved in. Even if Star Wars is not your thing, this story as we ride towards Rogue One, tells us so much about who we are and the world we live in. […] Always have Hope."
―Alistair Petrie[2]

Alistair Petrie, born on September 30, 1970, is a British actor[1] who portrayed General Davits Draven in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story[3] and later in the second season of the Disney+ series Andor.[4] Petrie is a lifelong Star Wars fan—with A New Hope actually the first film he ever saw in a theater[2]—and stated he remains shocked that he has a role in the universe.[5] With his return in Andor, Petrie celebrated the show as some of the finest storytelling he had ever acted within and urged people who were not Star Wars fans to check it out, stating it raised questions of who people were and reflected the modern world.[2] Petrie is also aware that his character dies at the hands of the Sith Lord Darth Vader in Star Wars (2015) 54 and interprets it as the end of Draven's journey, in which a man did his best with what he knew after a life of conflict, culminating in a final sacrifice.[6]
