Amazing Heroes was a magazine published by Fantagraphics Books from 1981 to 1992, aimed at comic book fans. The magazine included news, articles, creator interviews and previews of upcoming comics. It also reprinted black and white comic stories, including the Star Wars comic strip by Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson, reprinted years later as Classic Star Wars. These appeared off and on in issues #1 to #59. Issue #63 also included an article entitled "Long Ago and Far Away - A Hero History of the Star Wars Comic".
Amazing Heroes 13 featured an article about the history of Star Wars in comics, including quotes from Archie Goodwin and David Michelinie, as well as another installment of the Star Wars comic strip.
