"Anakin's Betrayal" is a piece written by John Williams for the Revenge of the Sith soundtrack. It represents the tragic turn of Anakin Skywalker to the dark side of the Force. It was performed by the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices. The piece won Williams a Grammy nomination for Best Film Score. A motif from Attack of the Clones forms the central structure of the piece. It first appears when Darth Sidious issues Order 66 to the clone troopers, and plays through the deaths of multiple Jedi across the galaxy. A slightly altered version appears on Mustafar as Padmé talks to Anakin, where it begins as she realizes he's no longer the same person she loved, and plays through Anakin's conversation with Obi-Wan, where it concludes the moment they ignite their lightsabers.

In the The Rise of Skywalker soundtrack for the 2019 film Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, "Anakin's Betrayal" appears in the track "The Force Is with You," where it morphes into "Rey's Theme," which in turn transitions to "The Emperor's Theme."
