The annexation of Asation by the Galactic Empire was an event that occurred in the Gree Enclave at some point between 19 BBY[2] and 6 BBY.[3]
The annexation[]
The annexation of Asation was finalized through diplomatic talks conducted by an Imperial consul-general.[1]
It was rumored that these diplomatic talks took place on Gree, the forbidden homeworld of the Gree species, which would make the Imperial consul-general one of the very few non-Gree allowed to set foot on the planet.[1]
Aftermath[]
Following the annexation of Asation, the Empire established a consulate in Satikan, the largest city of the planet, but had no governor or garrison there. A sole Carrack-class light cruiser was put in orbit around Asation to give the impression of an Imperial presence. Eventually, Skalus replaced his predecessor as the new consul-general of Asation.[1]
The Imperials maintained their presence on Asation for at least fifteen years and had little concern with the rest of the Gree Enclave. The Imperial consul-general let the Gree rule their worlds and did not venture away from the Asation system.[1]

It is also known from The Gree Enclave that at the time of the expedition, the Galactic Empire has been maintaining a presence on Asation for at least fifteen years. Consequently, it can be deduced that the annexation of Asation took place in 6 BBY at the latest.
