- "My people—the Anzati—are long-lived compared to most. We have seen much."
- ―Reyna Oskure
Anzati were a long-lived[2] humanoid species that hailed from the Mid Rim Territories planet of Anzat. They were feared and hated as they fed on the life force of other sentient species.[1]
Anzati in the galaxy[]

An Anzati corners Jedi Aayla Secura
After Aurra Sing left the Jedi Order, Anzati agents trained her into a killing machine.[3] An Anzati in robes,[1] similar to those of a Jedi or Sith,[4] once got hold of the Jedi Aayla Secura,[1] but she survived.[4]
During the Imperial Era, an Anzati named Reyna Oskure was associated with the Acolytes of the Beyond, who always quickly answered a summons from the group and was held in high regard by its members. Oskure was also known to Governor Ubrik Adelhard, who requested Oskure to join him shortly into the Iron Blockade, thereby playing into the Acolytes' plans.[2]

The Anzati were first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the Jedi Temple Archives set of Topps trading cards 2015 Topps Star Wars Chrome Perspectives: Jedi vs. Sith, published in 2015.[3] They were first identified as a species and pictured in the third issue of De Agostini's Star Wars Helmet Collection magazine series, published in 2016. The issue used a comic image featuring an Anzati attacking Aayla Secura[1] originally printed in the Legends story Star Wars (1998) 34[5] to depict the canon Anzati.[1] In the comic, the Anzati in question was identified as the former Jedi Volfe Karkko,[5] but this is not confirmed to also be the case in canon. The Anzati went onto have their first full canonical appearance in the comic Battle of Jakku — Insurgency Rising 1.[2]
In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Dannik Jerriko was identified as an Anzat of the Anzati in "Soup's On: The Pipe Smoker's Tale," a short story written by Jennifer Roberson that was included in Tales from the Mos Eisley Cantina, which was released by Bantam Spectra in July 1995.[6] Unlike Star Wars Legends, the canon version of Jerriko was identified as a mutant human in the 2016 reference book Star Wars: Complete Locations.[7]
