Apprentice Legislators were the members of the Apprentice Legislature, an organization for politically-minded youth.[2] The position existed in the governments of both the Galactic Republic[1] and its successors state, the Galactic Empire.[2] Padmé Naberrie joined the Apprentice Legislators on Naboo at the age of eight. Amidala's daughter,[1] Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan, later served as an Apprentice Legislator during the reign of the Empire alongside Amilyn Holdo of Gatalenta.[2]
