Aquila Squad was a clone commando unit that was part of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. After an unsuccessful Separatist attack on the Republic capital planet Coruscant[1] in 19 BBY,[2] Aquila Squad, together with fellow commando squads Omega and Manka were scheduled to assist the Coruscant Security Force in reestablishing law and order on the planet.[1]
Behind the scenes
Aquila Squad had a brief appearance in Order 66, the fourth installment of the Republic Commando series. The novel was written by Karen Traviss and released on September 16, 2008.
