Arath Tarrex was a male Jedi initiate during the Republic Era. Arath often conflicted with Dooku when they were younglings (the two were part of the Hawkbat Clan), as he was jealous of Dooku's intellectual and combative superiority over him. Arath was the son of Jedi Master Yula Braylon.[2]

Arath eventually became disgraced when his corrupt nature was exposed. It was revealed that Arath was corrupt, having robbed the ambassador Ketas during talks on Station Zeta on Plin Minor (which caused negotiations between the Plinovian and Solodo species to collapse) in order to pay for his gambling debts and had also used his mother's position to do this to prevent further debts. As a result, the Jedi High Council sentenced him to work in the Jedi Archives as part of his punishment.[2]

Notes and referencesEdit

  1. The script of Dooku: Jedi Lost states that Arath Tarrex is the same age as Dooku. Star Wars: Absolutely Everything You Need to Know places Dooku's birth in 102 BBY, meaning that Tarrex must have been born in the same year.
