Assassin-spiders were a species of spider distinguished by the phosphorescent skull pattern located on their thorax. They were capable of spitting venom and creating webbing which they could dangle from. In an abandoned tenement on the planet Taris, the Kubaz Ooblamon sliced a fat assassin-spider in half with a lightsaber in order to demonstrate the weapon's authenticity to the Acolytes of the Beyond before they purchased it.[1]
