Gungan Professor Thaddeus Wolk was assassinated on the planet Coruscant by a Twi'lek assassin who was part of the organized pirate group called the Nihil[1] in 231 BBY.[2] Wolk was targeted by the Nihil for correctly theorizing that the marauders, with the help of his former student Chancey Yarrow, had created hyperspace Gravity well projector superweapon in the Berenge sector. His theory was true, as Yarrow and the Nihil had built the Gravity's Heart Space station and superweapon there. Shortly before the assassination, Wolk's building on Coruscant had been bombed, leading to Jedi Vernestra Rwoh and Imri Cantaros attempting to rescue Wolk from the building. However, Wolk was shot and killed by the assassin before they could escape.[1]
