The Galactic Empire launched an assault against the Cardooine Rebel base during the Galactic Civil War.[2] The strike force was stymied when the technician Tendaar Bel scrambled the Imperial IFF codes,[5] allowing the Soaring Dactillions, flying prototype A-wings, to route the force. All but two of the Rebel pilots were killed in the assault, although the base was spared. The squadron proved that the A-wing featured superb qualities.[2] Soon after, Bel[5] and pilot Zal Artha were assigned to Alliance Special Operations.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
The base was mentioned in Zal Artha and Tendaar Bel's Character Folios included with Fantasy Flight Games' 2014 roleplaying game Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Beginner Game.[2][5]
