Astrogation droid brains were designed to assist with navigation by performing astrogation calculations, either independently or in support of a pilot or navigator. Installed directly into a ship's hull, it functioned similarly to an integrated astromech. Among the available models was the CD-13z, produced by GoCorp, which was known to occasionally conflict with the CD-12a autopilot droid brain when installed on the same vessel.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The astrogation droid brain was first mentioned in Fly Casual, a 2015 roleplaying game sourcebook by Fantasy Flight Games.[1]
