Atetu was a Jawa who lived on the planet Tatooine during the reign of the Galactic Empire. In 3 ABY, shortly before the rescue of the captive former smuggler Han Solo from the palace of the crime lord Jabba the Hutt, Atetu fellow Jawa Tweetu spent some time with the Jedi Luke Skywalker in a run-down Tatooine tavern.
Behind the scenes[]
Tweetu was first mentioned in the revised draft script of the movie Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. However, the character was subsequently cut and did not feature in the film's final screenplay.
