During the Clone Wars, a saboteur from the Death Watch attacked a Republic cruiser. The attack brought the Death Watch to the Republic's attention, leading the Jedi Council to dispatch Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi to investigate the saboteur's possible ties to the planet Mandalore.[3]
