Centuries before 4 ABY[2] the Sith Darkseekers carried out an attack on the Ascendant temple on Pyrr IX. During the attack, Ilith, leader of a group of the Ascendant used his Spark Eternal to wipe out a number of Sith, though he was caught by surprise and stabbed in the chest by a surviving Darkseeker. As he lay dying, he told Miril, the leader of another group of the cult, to destroy her own Spark Eternal and prevent it from falling into the hands of the Sith.[1] Sometime after, the Sith attacked Miril's group on Bar'leth, where they wiped out the group. Miril sacrificed herself to seal away the Spark, preventing it from falling into the hands of the Sith.[3]
